Mechanical work
For the mechanical work Turbo-Technik has two workshops properly equipped with several overhead cranes up to 50 tons and all necessary tools machines such as: lathes (including a 13 m long sliding bed lathe, a vertical lathe with 3 m diameter capacity), grinding machines, milling machines, slotting machines, drills, saws, cutting machines, descaling machines, boring machines (including a large horizontal boring machine), press, cleaning station, set pressure station, test station, and an injection bench. The mechanical workshop is perfectly suited to cover the whole range of marine applications, from delicate diesel injection works to heavy gear machining such as rudders, tail shafts, thrusters, and propellers.
Main and auxiliary engines
We provide overhaul, repair and service of all brands and types of marine main and auxiliary engines, carried out world-wide by experienced and trained service engineers and technicians. This includes crankshaft replacements, alignment by laser and re-choking as well as turnkey retrofit of auxiliary engines including all necessary engineering work as well as sale, reconditioning and storage of engine spare-parts.
Engine overhaul
Turbo-Technik is able to offer a full overhaul and reconditioning service for all types of engines via riding squads, or at our fully equipped global workshops operated by full trained and experienced repair technicians.
In situ machining
Using our own portable grinding equipment, we are able to offer an in situ reconditioning service on the following items: liner landing faces, entablature landing faces and valve pocket landing faces. We are also able to machine in-situ all types of valves including inlet, exhaust and starting air types.
Propeller service
We provide a 24 hour service with highly skilled and travelled service engineers with vast experience globally on C.P Propellers and O/D box surveys and renewals.
Other mechanical services
Turbo-Technik also offer a full range of mechanical services including pump overhaul, generator refurbishment as well as chemical cleaning.
Steam turbines
As the name already predicts Turbo-Technik is an expert for all work related to steam turbines and turbomachinery of any size. From installation and plant erection to inspection, planned maintenance and repairs, the team from Turbo-Technik is your reliable and qualified partner, with skilled personnel and modern equipment.
Steam boilers
Turbo-Technik is highly engaged in planned maintenance, upgrading and repair of steam boiler plants. Which includes steam pressure parts and membranwalls, superheaters, and other boiler pipework. Turbo-Technik is authorised for high quality welding in accordance with their certificates.
